Getting started

Quick start

The condensed path from signing up to watching your first connector sync run.

This is the whole path from a blank browser to a connector that is syncing your data, in order. Each step links to a page that covers it in detail.

The account steps run back to back. The first sync then runs on its own.

Sign up and pay. Open the sign-up page, reachable from qortexos.com, and work through the four steps of the wizard: Plan, About you, Company, and Payment. You choose a plan and billing period, enter your name, email, phone number, and password, describe your organization, and pay by card. The account is created after the payment goes through, so a "Payment received" screen appears while that finishes.

See Create your account.

Verify your email address. QortexOS sends a verification email to the address you signed up with, and the portal shows Check your email while it waits. Open the email and select Verify Email Address, or enter the six-digit code it contains on the verification page. The link and the code are valid for 24 hours.

See Create your account.

Sign in and set up two-factor authentication. Sign in with your email and password. On your first sign-in, QortexOS asks you to link an authenticator app before you can go any further: scan the QR code, then enter the six-digit code your app shows.

See Secure your account.

Confirm your organization details. The first time you sign in, QortexOS shows Confirm your organization details, pre-filled from your sign-up and billing details. Check the company section, then set Currency, Language & region, and Time zone in the localization section. Select Confirm and continue.

See Set up your organization.

Look around Home. You land on Home, titled QortexOS Pulse. The five signal cards read Awaiting data, and connecting a system is the next thing to do.

See Tour the portal.

Set up your first connector. You need two things from whoever manages your QortexOS setup before this step: the connector's API base URL and its credential secret name. Then open Data Platform in the sidebar and go to Connector Setup. The wizard has five steps: Connection, Authentication, Sync schedule, Rate limits, and Review & activate. Pick the system you want to connect, enter the two values you were given, set how often it should sync, then select Activate connector on the last step. Activating runs a live connection test, so you find out straight away whether the credentials work.

See Set up a connector.

Choose what to sync and run the first sync. After the connector is created, choose the data sets you want from that system. Required data sets are locked on; optional ones can be turned off before the first sync. Save your selection, then select Run first sync.

See Run your first sync.

Check Connector Health. Open Connector Health under Data Platform. It shows the status of every connector you have set up, with sync controls and recent activity. The screen does not refresh itself, so reload it after a few minutes and look for your run in the Recent sync activity panel.

See Monitor connector health.

What happens next

Once data has synced, the screens that read from that system work from what your syncs have brought in. A single connector fills in part of the picture; screens that draw on a system you have not connected yet keep saying so.

Each value carries an "as of" line, so you can always tell how current it is. See Statuses and freshness.

From here, the two things most organizations do next are:

Your subscription, plan, and payment details are managed from Settings. See Subscription and billing.
