How data gets into QortexOS
Connectors are the route your business systems use to send data to QortexOS, and this page explains the lifecycle from setup through ongoing syncs.
QortexOS reads from the systems your team already runs. It does that through connectors. There is no upload step and no manual entry: a connector is how data arrives.
Systems and connectors
A system is the product you already use, such as a PSA, an RMM, an accounting package, a CRM, an HR platform, or a customer satisfaction tool.
A connector is the configured link between one of those systems and QortexOS. It holds the system you chose, a name you gave it, its sync schedule, and the data sets it pulls. If you run more than one instance of a system, each instance gets its own connector.
Connectors live under Data Platform, in the Connectors group. Two screens carry most of the work: Connector Setup, where you create a connector, and Connector Health, where you watch what it is doing.
The lifecycle
- Set up the connector. A five-step wizard collects the system, a name, the API base URL, the credential reference, the sync schedule, and optional rate limits. You finish with Activate connector or Save as draft.
- Choose the data to sync. Straight after the connector is created, a panel lists the data sets that system offers. Some are required and locked on. You can turn optional ones off before the first run.
- Run the first sync. The same panel carries Run first sync. The confirmation is a single line of text, not a progress bar.
- Monitor. Connector Health shows each connector's status, its last successful sync, and a list of recent sync runs. From there you can start a run on demand, test the connection, and pause or resume a connector.
What you see depends on your role and your subscription. Creating a connector and running sync actions need access an administrator grants, and that access is separate from the team-management roles described in Roles and permissions. If an action is missing from your screen, ask an administrator.
