Manage Sync Settings
What the platform sets for a connector's schedule, and the sync controls you keep on Connector Health, from forcing a sync to pausing, resuming, and replacing access.
A connector's sync settings decide how often it pulls data and how hard it presses the system it is pulling from. QortexOS sets them for you when the connector is created. The controls that stay with you afterward live on Connector Health.
What the platform sets for you
The summary panel in Connector Setup says it plainly: "The connector name, sync schedule, and rate limits are set automatically." In full:
- Name: generated from the system and the moment the connector was created. It is what the Connector column shows.
- Sync frequency: daily, in UTC. Change data capture is off.
- Rate limits: handled by the platform.
- Business criticality: every connector is treated as Critical.
Sync frequency and Business criticality show on the connector's Connector details panel under Configuration, and the generated name is the row's entry in the Connector column. There is no time-zone picker, no rate-limit step, and no criticality choice during setup.
At present, a change to a connector's schedule is a request rather than a setting on screen. If you need a different schedule, ask whoever manages your QortexOS setup, or contact support.
Pausing and resuming
On Connector Health, open the More actions menu on a connector's row. The menu shows whichever of the two applies, and both need sync-management access.
- Pause sync asks "Pause syncing?" and explains "connector name stops syncing until it is resumed. No data is removed." The Enabled column changes to No.
- Resume sync asks "Resume syncing?" and explains "connector name returns to its normal sync schedule." The column changes back to Yes.
A connector you finished with Save as draft starts out paused, so Resume sync is how you switch it on.
Reading the Next sync column
The Next sync column on Connector Health shows a time when a run is queued, and Not scheduled when nothing is, which covers a paused connector and one with no recorded successful run.
Forcing a sync
When you want data now, use Force sync on the row. It asks "Start a sync now?" and explains "Runs a live data pull from the provider for connector name right away. The connector's own schedule is not affected."
- Leave the dialog as it is and select Start sync to pull every enabled data type from where the last run left off.
- Turn on Full re-pull (ignore the incremental watermark) to pull everything again rather than only what changed.
- Use Limit to specific data types to pull a subset. The note reads "Leave everything unchecked to pull every enabled data type."
The confirmation reads "Sync finished for connector name." A failure reads "Could not start a sync for connector name."

Replacing access
When a system's credentials change, or an approval at the provider lapses, open the connector's details panel and use the Connection actions section: Replace credentials for connectors with credentials entered in QortexOS, Reconnect provider for connectors you approved at the provider.
