Your account settings
What the Account Settings screen shows about you and which personal preferences you can change there.
Every team member has their own Account Settings screen. It shows your profile as QortexOS holds it and lets you set four personal preferences. Find it in the sidebar under Settings, in the Profile Settings group, as Account. You can also reach it from Account in the menu at the bottom of the sidebar.
The screen is titled Account Settings, with the sub-line "Your profile details and personal preferences."
Your profile
The Profile section lists four rows.
| Row | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | Your full name |
| The address you sign in with | |
| Role | Your role in this organization |
| Tenant | The name of the organization you are signed in to |
Anything QortexOS does not hold reads Not available.
This section is read-only. There is no control here for changing your name, your email address, or your role. If your name or phone number needs correcting, ask an administrator to update it from User Management using Edit profile. That panel states the boundary plainly: "Email and sign-in credentials are managed by the member themselves."
Your preferences
The Preferences section holds exactly four settings, described on the screen as "Language, time zone, theme, and notifications."
| Preference | What it does |
|---|---|
| Language | The language the portal is shown in. |
| Time zone | The time zone your dates and times are displayed in. Searchable, because the list is long. |
| Theme | Light, Dark, or System. |
| Notifications | A single switch, shown in the summary as On or Off. |
Before you save preferences for the first time, the section carries the note "You have not saved preferences yet. The values shown are your current defaults."
Theme and language can also be changed from the header at the top of the portal, using Toggle theme and Change language.
The notifications switch
Notifications is one switch, not a list of individual settings. Its description on the editing screen says exactly what turning it off does:
When off, all notification channels are paused except required system notices.
Leave it on unless you want to stop routine notifications. Required system notices reach you either way.
Changing your preferences
All four preferences are saved together, in one guided flow.
Select Edit preferences. The button sits at the top of the screen.
Set the four fields. The step is titled Preferences. Choose your language, time zone, and theme, and set the Notifications switch.
Check the review step. Review and save shows each field marked Will be saved, Will be updated, or No changes, so you can see what you are about to change. Its helper reads "Saving applies all four preference fields together."
Select Save preferences. The screen confirms with "Preferences saved." If nothing changed, it says "No changes to save." instead.
Nothing is saved until you finish the review step. Leaving through Exit without saving at any point discards the edit.
What you see depends on your role and your subscription. Without permission to read preferences, the section reads "You do not have permission to view preferences." instead of your values.
